She sounds fabulous! I'm hugging myself with joy over last month's Dorothy Bowers and here comes another one! Christmas holiday reading all sorted, I think.

Hope you'll enjoy her, too, Catriona. I forgot to mention that another thing I really like is the atmosphere of London during and after WWII in the books. Interesting glimpses of daily life at the time. You'll have to let me know what you think once you've read some.


Once again, you've found the perfect books for me. Arthur Crook is exactly the type of character I love - reminds me of Campion's Lugg and Arthur Bryant of the Bryant & May books.
