I'm been kind of slack on my blogging this summer, but I have a good reason. I've been traveling a lot with Sid, the titular character of the Family Skeleton series. So if we use the formula that a picture equals a thousand words, this photographic record ought to bring me closer to quota. In fact, Sid traveled so much that this will only be the first edition, covering a June trip to Pensacola, FL for a family wedding. (That would be my family, not Sid's.)
There wasn't much time for touring Pensacola, but Sid got a chance in the airport to climb onto one of the planes belonging to the Blue Angels, the Navy's crack flying team.
He later snuck into the wedding, even though he wasn't invited.
I'm afraid he may have drunk a bit too much.
He may also have gotten a little fresh with my one of my sisters.
However, the bride welcomed him just the same.
Later in the weekend, he took a quick trip to Pensacola Beach, which has sand so white he'd have been lost for sure if I'd dropped him. (Don't worry. He put on plenty of sunscreen.)
That brings us to the end of our first trip this summer. More to come in a couple of weeks!
