Elaine Viets

Welcome, Victoria.
How you managed to keep from stabbing that woman with the handiest knife is a mystery to me.

Victoria Allman

I'm not saying that I haven't thought about it...but, it doesn't look good on the resume to have dead bodies piling up at dinner. However, it does make for a great plot twist.
Maybe I should see how it plays out on the page...

I'm with Elaine. No way I could keep from cracking. You're a better woman than I, Gunga Din.

The recipe and the book both look fabulous!

Welcome to the Femmes, Victoria! Great blog. I admire your fortitude -- I would have wanted to kill that woman, too, or at least, thrown her overboard, which probably looks just as bad on the resume. I'm looking forward to reading your book. It sounds like great fun.

The great thing about...um...difficult guests on the boat is they make for much more interesting characters.
Each time we have "that woman" on board, I end up with half a dozen more stories to tell. You can almost use my blog as a calendar of when she was here.
She is one of those cases where truth IS stranger than fiction.

Bet your crew ate well that day!

I can see you getting a lot of possibilities for murder!

Mary Saums

LOL! You're much calmer that I would've been. I'd have sent at least one chicken flying to the opposite wall. :) Thanks so much for being with us today!

Great post, Victoria. I'm with all the other commenters: I'd have plunged that woman into the lobster pot. (PS: Bet the lunch they were served elsewhere wasn't as good as yours was!)
Congrats on SEAsoned, which is a terrific read.

What a great story, Victoria--from a distance and with a little time, I'm sure. And what a menu!

Welcome to the Femmes Fatales!

Alaska Charter Boats

Great story. I love your dishes. So how does it feels to be a chef in a yacht?

Victoria Allman

Thank you Alaska Charter Boats.
As you know, there is never a dull moment on a boat. Between the work and the people, we are constantly entertained.
I'm sure you could tell a story or two about the beauty of your cruising grounds.
