Oh, it's impossible to pick just one favorite! But since we're talking about paranormal mysteries, I will mention UK writer Amy Myers' "Murder on Friday Street", the second in her Marsh & Daughter series. Disabled ex-policeman Peter Marsh and his daughter are crime writers who investigate old unsolved murders. They often stumble across them because the violence leaves a psychic imprint that they can sense. Each book in the series can stand on its own, but it's worth starting at the beginning for the character development and subplot involving Marsh's family.

Somehow I feel drawn to paranormal mysteries- all that magic maybe?

I would so love to win a copy- please put my name in the virtual magical hat. Thanks!

It is difficult to pick a favorite second in a series book- I'm going to have to think about that this morning and get back to you.

I think the first in a series is like preparing for vacation. the lists, the packing, all the decisions and travel. The second in a series is the real vacation, where everyone gets to expand and enjoy themselves.

Kate, I'm not familiar with that series, but I'll check it out.

You're entered, Kelly.

Karla, I LOVE that analogy. Excellent.

Hank Phillippi Ryan

Enter me, enter me! (Is that fair?)

Kate Adams won the drawing for the free copy of my book MAGICAL ALIENATION. I wish there could be a free one for all of you, including you dear Hank (Sure, it's fair), but Kate won the drawing. Thanks to all of you for entering.
