It sounds amazing. The only time I've seen the desert foothills - not even the real desert - was September and even then it was beautiful - the purple and red rocks and the silver and lime cacti. With flowers it must be mind-blowing.


Catriona, it is beautiful, especially because it's so unexpected. But there's beauty everywhere, it's just the style differs.

Kris, I treasure memories of the time Kate Charles and I came to WRC for a signing -- opposite the crop circle guys, or the white witch, I can't remember which, maybe both! -- and we made time to drive around and hike in Oak Creek Canyon. Oh, and shop, too! Loved the pix you posted!
