Tilia Klebenov Jacobs

I bet we could do an amazing anthology of Tales of Family Disaster. And just in time for the holidays, too!

Dana Cameron

Tilia, what a great story about spinning a domestic moment into a much bigger story! Hmm, not sure what our story would be. Maybe "The Importance of a Clutch Dog."

Tilia Klebenov Jacobs

Should I even ask what a clutch dog is? I'm imagining a small purse in the shape of a dachshund.

Melissa Costa

Loved the ant story! I definitely love your wit, and believe you have a future in comedy as well as thrillers! I enjoyed "Wrong Place,Wrong Time", immensely!
Anyway, I think you definitely have a future in writing, Tilia.

Tilia Klebenov Jacobs

Thanks, Melissa! I tried to make Wrong Place, Wrong Time funny as well as thrilling...hope it worked!

Deb Romano

"Spiders Are Not My Friends"
If my childhood medical records are still around, you can read the story!

Tilia, I was almost sick when I read your story. I just hope it doesn't give me nightmares!

Hank Phillippi Ryan

What's a clutch dog? I agree.. I have several ideas, but I'd love to hear.

Hank Phillippi Ryan

Oh, dear DebRo--not sure I wanna hear that one...poor thing!

Hank Phillippi Ryan

Thanks, Melissa--yeah, that's what we keep telling her... xo

Tilia Klebenov Jacobs

Oh, dear, Deb Romano--I'm so sorry! And I feel much the same way about spiders. The more legs a critter has, the less likely I am to invite it over for Thanksgiving dinner.

Mary

Your book sounds great, Tilia. Thanks for coming over to tell us about it. A good holiday gift, for sure.

Hmmm .... our minor Insect Tale of Family Disaster would be The Hornet Cupcake. In the non-insect thriller category, it would have to be Water Moccasin At 0700 And Closing. :) :)

Hank Phillippi Ryan

Water Moccasin at 0700?? Yikes, Mary! (I knew the titles would be great...)

Tilia Klebenov Jacobs

Oh, Mary--it's the PERFECT holiday gift! :-)

I've seen water snakes swimming with their heads up like periscopes, and it always astonishes me. Generally they don't scare me, but I think a water moccasin closing in would be an exception to that rule!

Dana Cameron

A clutch dog is a part of an outboard motor, without which you lack propulsion (my rough interpretation, Tilia). It turns out, one can get stranded on a small deserted island off the coast of Maine, with a storm bearing down on you, if the clutch dog goes. :)

Yikes, water mocs? Eek!

Tilia Klebenov Jacobs

Stranded on a desert island eyeballing a storm is MUCH worse than ants in your hair! No contest!
