Elaine Viets

Welcome, Angela. I'm looking forward to reading your Sherlockian YA novel -- I enjoy many so-called YAs and hope the bookstore won't card me.

Karmicangel

Thanks so much Elaine, I hope you enjoy it! And trust me as an OLDER young adult, I suffer the same worry as I peruse my favourite YA books!

Dana

Angela, thanks for blogging with us! I was particularly struck by your reference to Batman--I think there are many parallels between him and SH!

Karmicangel

Absolutely Dana, I used to be embarrassed to include The Batman on my list of favourite fictional detectives, but I got over it. He is one of my favourites, and I am a full-on comic geek (in addition to my other interests) so he is in my top 5 for sure. Glad I am not alone!

Mary S.

Congratulations, Angela! I'm excited for you and also for me since I can look forward to reading this new series. :) Can't wait to follow Portia's adventures.

Charlaine Harris

So glad you dropped in to introduce yourself! I wish you the best of luck with your very original premise.

Kristopher

Oh, this sounds great. I can't wait to give it a try. I am always on the lookout for YA mysteries to cover on the blog. Thanks to the Femme Fatales for bringing this to my attention.

Karmicangel

Thanks Mary, Charlaine and Kristopher! I really hope you love Jewel of the Thames, and I will let you know when the next in the series - Thrice Burned is out for pre-order!
