Storyteller Mary

I admire your courage and determination. I visited an insurance client in Stillwater Prison once, cementing my determination to avoid prison, even though the procedures were tame compared to yours.
When we toured the closed Moundsville Prison, one unexpected sight was the murals prisoners painted, a reward for good behavior. There were mountains, trucks on highways . . . all images of freedom.
Brava to you for allowing them to escape in words.

Hank, I'm not allowed any contact with my students once they're released. It's OK if I happen to run into someone, which has happened a few times, but we're not allowed to hang. But they are very often in my thoughts...I do carry them around with me.

I bet..and I know they think of you, too..xoxo

Ah the issues of entry and exit! I've done service work for 35+years that includes jails of various types.i take real tools into areas where they are very much not allowed! My favorite part is hearing the thunk of that final door shut ! You are indeed a blessing for these men and women !
