I enjoyed laughing with you all and wish everyone luck on Saturday night!

Loved this post, except for the part about the other nominees scheming and starting whisper campaigns against each other. I would not THINK of denigrating my fellow nominees Lou Berney, Lori Rader-day, Matt Coyle, James Ziskin, and Louise Penny--even if they are all hack writers.

Thanks for organizing this, Catriona.

Mark

I am ashamed to say that I am not familiar with many of these writers. Oh, I’ve heard of them, but I don’t read them regularly. I must fix that.

While I know there is more Oscar Wilde I should read, I’m a huge fan of Importance of Being Earnest. My local theater company is doing it for about 5 weeks in May and June and I’m going. Anyone who wants to join me is welcome.

Timothy Hallinan

Thanks, Catriona -- great look at what makes some pretty funny people laugh.

PG Wodehouse would have been my number two, Catriona. And thank you so much for herding all of us bitey cats (yes, I'm not the only one who's bitey) together for this last gambol before the big rumble in Vancouver!

Cynthia Kuhn

Oops, I did blather on a bit, didn't I? Sorry about that! #nostalgiafactor

LOVED your choices and can't wait to see everyone in Vancouver. Thanks so much for letting us visit today, Catriona and Femmes!

Lynn in Texas

Well, this blog made me laugh! Thanks and good luck to all! Have fun!

Triss Stein

Thanks for the laughs in today's column and thanks for the laughs every other day.

Deb Romano

Enjoyed this very much! I think Timothy is the only one of you whose books I have not read, and I must remedy that.

As for your favorite humorous writers, I must reread, or read them, as the case may be. (I will NEVER run out of books to read!)

I’m rooting for all of you!
