Zucchini bread was popular when I was living in California. And there was a restaurant/bar in downtown Davis on a corner in an old house where they served on the porch that made incredible deep fried battered zuc. That was when I still had a metabolism. I only just discovered this zoodler thing of which you speak. Must have one.

We will definitely try the grilled slices. That sounds divine. And healthy.

My favorite way to use zucchini is in a saute, with all the other stuff that is in season at the same time. I start with warming up olive oil to saute onions, garlic and peppers--sweet baby bells, if I have them--then add eggplant, sometimes mushrooms, then slices of zuke and yellow squash, then tomato, and finish it off with shreds of basil. It makes a really satisfying dish that we sometimes make our entree, and add salad and bread.
