I enjoyed your post, Debra. All so true about theft by writers. I once had a book called STEAL THIS PLOT on my shelves. It made the point, with many examples, that writers reuse plots and stories from other writers but modify them for their own purposes. Since I can't find that book, I can only conclude that someone stole it, possibly a thieving writer.
